Meet Our New Addition

The day finally came when it was time to bring home our baby, our baby pig that is. So, after work we drove to Cathy's Critters. Let me tell you, she has every kind of animal out there. From kangaroos, and lemurs to chickens, pigs and every other normal farm animal.

First, we build a fenced in area for the pig.

We had to make sure that pig could not escape!

Then, we made the drive out to Cathy's Critters to choose our pig.

They had a lot of cute animals. Including this tiny goat running around with the pigs.

We had a couple friends come with us on this big day. Here is Brad holding her!

Kelsey and Brad in the back taking care of the pig on the ride home.

When we got home we let her outside. That was a big mistake! She ran all over the backyard, and crawled under the fence into the side pasture. We were afraid she was going to escape! I bet it looked pretty funny with four adults chasing after a little pig. They are pretty fast, even with their small legs!

Finally we caught her!

Isn't she so cute?

She LOVES to have her belly scratched. When you start doing it she will just fall over on her side, close her eyes and make cute little sounds. It is pretty funny! She also will run around when she is playing. The dog and the pig actually get along pretty good too.

Who knew having a pig would be so fun!

First Monday in Canton

In Texas, there is a huge moving flea market. Every month it comes to a little hick town called Canton. It was about an hour and a half drive. We were willing to drive this far for one reason- to get a pig.

David got a piglet a couple years ago when he was living at home between semesters. He claims it was the most fun pet he has ever had. I have to say, when he describes it, it does sound pretty cute! Of course they are only cute when you keep them small. He also says they are really smart, and learn to do their business in a liter box really quickly! Anyway......

There were A TON of people!

Here is everyone admiring these fancy pinwheels. They actually were pretty cool in person.

Everyone had these carts, I guess to load up with useless stuff!

A few examples of some useless (and creepy) stuff that no one should ever buy.

These would scare away any burglars/murderers.

This guy was a lot cuter.

I did find one shirt I really liked! I picked the one on the left to wear to our next family event.

Turns out they did not have very many pigs for sale this year. What they did have a lot of is.....

PUPPIES! I was in dog heaven.

I MELT for dogs!

I did not get many pictures of them since I was too busy holding them. :) I tried to convince David that we should bring home a dog instead of a pig. Instead we came home empty handed.

I am guessing there will be a future update for when we find the perfect pig, David is persistent that we get one.

Recap From The Wedding: The Reception

David's parents put on the reception in Utah. They chose a nice reception hall in Sandy, Utah. So that night, we let the partying begin!

First, we needed to fix my hair from all that wind.

Having a groom's cake is apparently a tradition in the south.

My beautiful friends
We got to cut two cakes!

 I'm all about more cake.

 The bridesmaids and groomsmen.

 Our first dance!

My wonderful parents.

 David and his parents.

Time for some dancing!

Time to toss the bouquet! All of the eligible bachelorettes waiting...

Throwing a bouquet behind you without looking is a lot harder than it looks. I may have thrown it a little too far!

Carson caught it!

 Now David's turn..

I like how all the single men are about 7 and under.

After all the celebrating it was time to get the heck up out of there!

See ya!!
