Fall 2013 In Review

Clearly, I have not posted much on here for a long time. This last semester was a busy one! I started my first semester in the BYU-Idaho nuring program and David continued his summer job full time, just remotely. We still managed to have some fun along the way! Here are some pictures from the semester!

We had some friends over who suprised David for his bday! We celebrated his 28th Bday!

We brought home this little boston terrier. It was a little bit too young and decided it would be better to give it to someone with more experience. It was fun while we had her...and we definitely learned from the experience!

We went down to Denver to spend Thanksgiving with the fam! It was a nice break, and fun to see everyone!

David is going to be an awesome dad one day!

And finally at the ward Christmas party. We have loved our ward this semester, but they split it the end of the year. We are excited that we will be able to be part of a brand new ward though!

This last semester was full of new challenges, new friends, new way of doing things. David was awesome enough to take over some house duties including cooking lots of awesome dinners, doing the laundry etc. I don't know what I would have done without him! Even with a hectic school schedule we found time to have some fun :)

A Huge Blessing

This summer when we moved to Dallas, we were in high hopes of finding full time jobs for the both of us. So the search began, and we spent a few days applying for jobs. I got a job offer and actually started orientation (at the Gap) but was told I could only work part time. Then Olive Garden also interviewed us and offered a job that would also be part time. With one car to share and two different part time jobs to try and schedule, I am pretty sure it would have been a nightmare. Luckily, David's cousin was able to offer us both jobs at his company, full time. We were so grateful that we would be able to commute together and work 40 hours a week to save up before going back to school. Plus that meant good quality time in traffic for 45 minutes twice a day!

The nice view out the back

We played ping during lunch pretty much everyday

And the company also hosted the "Phytel Summer Olympics" which was a lot of fun. David and I got pretty far in doubles ping pong.

We both got our own offices and computers. Since I was the intern, I was moved about four times!

It was a really fun company to work for and a great experience. David was with the accounting department, and I was with product, helping them make their product more user friendly. The people we worked with were all very nice. That's one thing I love about Texas- the people are so friendly!

They even took us out to lunch on our last day and a big group came including HR, David's boss and the CFO of the company. The food was so good!

We were lucky enough to have the job for the summer- but then they offered David to continue working remotely full time, and me part time. David had the semester off, so he needed a full time job. Finding a full time job in Rexburg would have been nearly impossible! We feel really blessed that we could have some source of income. David starts his MAcc in a week, and the company loves him so much they have asked him to continue working through this year! He will most likely continue working, just part time. Have I said we are so blessed?!
